MEDINA--Mary Annette Selby Webber, 80, of Medina, passed away at home on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018. VISITATION: was 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Medina, followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m., with Pastor Allie Balko officiating. Interment follows in Oak Rest Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera. Pallbearers: John Hinds, David Pinelle, Tyler Buchanan, Joshua Hinds, Jacob Hinds and Bobby Johnson. Annette was born in Stamford, Texas, to Mattie Doris Hilliard Selby and Zeke Selby on Nov. 30, 1937. She spent most of her life in Fort Worth, Texas, where she raised her children. She worked as a secretary at Texas Christian University and later at Lockheed. She moved to Medina in 2007 to be close to her daughter, Karen, and her family. Annette was a loving mother and grandmother, and always put others' needs above her own. She cared for family members who needed extra help and asked nothing in return. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with children and animals. Annette was preceded in death by her parents and by her daughter, Cathy Buchanan of Medina. SURVIVORS: Annette is survived by children, Dana Spears of Bedford, Paula Redd of Fort Worth, David Pinelle of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Karen Hinds of Medina; and by her sister, Melinda Kay of Fort Worth. Annette spent the final years of her life caring for three grandchildren, Stephen Lindsey, Tyler Buchanan, and Nicole Buchanan. She is also survived by other grandchildren, including two granddaughters, five grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to those who provided care to Annette during the final weeks of her life, including Kathleen Valle, Peterson Hospice, and United Angels Home Care Services.
