Mansfield - Theresa HUNTER, 74, passed this life on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in Ohio Health MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an n illness.
Mrs. Hunter was born on Thursday, July 27, 1944 in Rich, Mississippi and had lived in Mansfield the past 69 years. Theresa graduated from Mansfield Senior High School Class of 1962. Following graduation Theresa practiced as a dietician at Peoples Hospital up until she married the love of life and became a mother. With experiencing motherhood Theresa remained home where she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Being of strong Christian faith, she was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 53 years: Robert "Bobby" Hunter, Sr.; 2 sons: Robert, Jr., and Adrian, Sr.; 10 grandchildren including Ebony and Kiara who she enjoyed a special relationship; 10 great grandchildren; 15 siblings: Johnny "Bobby" Harris, South Bend, Indiana, Earl, Willie, Tony, and John Henry Harris, Cape Girard, Missouri, Pearline Hatchett, Jenny Stewart, Fontaine D. Strayhorn, Greensboro, North Carolina, and Janie Whitfield, St. Louis, Missouri, Mathew, Monroe, and Henry Marshall, Sikeston, Missouri, Leroy Marshall, San Bernardino, California, Richard Marshall, San Antonio, Texas, and Lessimae Burnett, Memphis, Tennessee; and beloved uncle Cenell Davis, Dodge Center, Minnesota
Theresa was preceded in death by her grandparents Sirsha and Minnie Davis, parents Earline (Davis) Harris and Edgar Marshall, 1 brother Leroy Harris, Jr., 5 uncles Nathaniel, Cornell, James, Lenzy, and Samuel Davis, Sr., and 1 great grandson Quadir Hunter.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 11:00 AM in the Oasis of Love Church with Dr. Walter E. Jordan, II presiding and her niece Evangelist Carol Scott delivering the eulogy. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
