Sandy, as she was known, was born in Centre County, Pa., and was a longtime resident of Southampton. She worked as a laboratory technician and phlebotomist at Holy Redeemer Hospital for close to 40 years until her retirement in 1998. Sandra also volunteered at the Southampton Public Library and with HealthLink Medical Center in Feasterville. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed needlepoint and crochet. She was never happier than when she was the at Jersey Shore where she vacationed often. She was also an active member within her church, Good Shepherd in Southampton.
Sandy’s family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sep. 12, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 877 Street Rd., Southampton, Pa. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Sandra will be laid to rest in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pa.
