CHATFIELD, Minn. (Special)-
Ervin Monroe Battey, 56, died Thursday night at a Rochester hospital following a heart attack suffered at work.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boetzer Funeral Home here, the Rev. D. L. Harbour officiating. Burial will be in the Chatfield cemetery.

Battey had been in poor health for several years. He was a former dray line operator and had been engaged in the trucking business. He was moving a family's possessions when he suffered the heart attack Thursday.

He was born April 9, 1895, and married Agnes Bulummers Sept. 20, 1927. She survives, as do a daughter, Patricia, Chicago; three sons, Louis, New Richland, Minn.; Donald, at home and Gerald, Minneapolis; four brothers, Harold, Rochester; Richard, Adams, Minn., and Lyle and Clarence, Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, MRs. Mary Anderson, Wells, Minn., Mrs. Francis Howard, Oregon and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lavone Narvision, Wesley Raibell, Herman Schulltz, Claude Kisro, John Oldenburg and Frank Kruger.

Friends may call until the hour of service.
