Dona was born November 5, 1927 in Richfield to Joseph William and Mildred Foy Horne. She was the last to pass of her siblings, Art Horne, Reva Horne Hicks, Carol Horne Roberts and Roger Horne.
She married Marvin G. Mason of Aurora, Utah and together they had five children: Karen Worley, Janet Mickelson, Jerry Mason, Leisa Deaton and Gary Mason. Marvin passed away at the age of 57, after which, Dona married Richard Bell of Richfield.
Dona enjoyed a very good life. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many leadership and compassionate service positions. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling and dancing. Dona LOVED her many friends and enjoyed every minute they spent
together. Dona loved her family and started many ongoing family traditions.
She is survived by her children: Karen (John) Worley, Janet (Robin) Mickelson, Jerry Marvin (Camille) Mason, Leisa Marie (Jerry) Deaton and Gary Bernell (Teresa) Mason; her step children include: Susan Bell (Larry) Christensen, Julie Bell Bailey, Mariam Bell (Paul) Kay and Richard (Judy) Bell; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family expresses their deepest appreciation to the Monroe Canyon staff and her Hospice staff, all of whom attended to her every need.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 14, 2018 in the Richfield East LDS Stake Center, 800 North 500 East. Where friends may call for viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.
