David J. Eaton, age 83, U.S. Army veteran, passed away September 6th with his loving wife at his side. Dave was the beloved husband of Linda G. (Maldonado) for 28 wonderful years; loving father of Carol Beth (Mark) Lamb and James David (Dawn) Eaton; dearest son of the late Ebba Marie Dorothea and William Strandberg Eaton; cherished grandfather of Joshua, Elisabeth and Rachel Lamb, Daniel and Matthew Eaton; dear brother of the late Mark (Bev) Eaton and he was a funny uncle to many nephews. David was a Chicago Public School Teacher for over 50 years, a proud musician and a member of the band "Windjammers" for 30 plus years. He also ran a Chicago inner-city social center. Dave enjoyed travelling (Embarking on more than 60 Cruises), reading and watching old movies. Visitation Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Memory Service at 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and we will then proceed for interment at All Saints Cemetery.
