Daniel R. Mahan

Leominster - Daniel Russell Mahan, 63, of Exchange Street, died Tuesday at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, after a brief illness.

He was born in Leominster, May 1, 1910 a son of the late Daniel G. and Margaret J. (Legare) Mahan, and was a lifelong resident. He was a salesman for the Synthetic Materials Corp., and was a retired salesman for Celanese Corp. Mr. Mahan was a member of Council 406, Knights of Columbus, the Society of Plastics Industries and the Society of Plastics Engineers, Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, and formerly served with the New York State National Guard.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maude M. (Benson) Mahan; a daughter Linda, wife of John Pinder of this city; three brothers, John B. Mahan of Woodbury, Conn., W. Elmer Mahan of Fitchburg, and Philip J.Mahan of this city; seven sisters, Mrs. Helen Mattson of Long Island, N.Y., Mrs. Doris Fanos of Pittsfield, Ruth, wife of Robert Jeffers of Glen Ellen, Ill., Margaret, wife of Ernest Koski of Fitchburg, Mrs. Gladys Bonner, Mrs. Irene Mathieu and Mrs. Mary Allain of this city and three grandsons.
