Robert D. Gipson, 77, of Boody, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 in his home.
Bob was born October 8, 1940 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Joseph Doyle and Winifred Thelma (Reed) Gipson. He retired from Sunshine Dairy. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed car shows. He married Carolyn Clutter October 18, 1964. Bob then married Margaret Marshall January 22, 1977. She preceded him in death January 10, 2011.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Lisa Ruot and Shannon Brooks (Jim Painter); stepchildren, Melody (Mitchell) Burcham, William (Rachael) Weaver, and Tim (Heidi) Weaver; brothers, Joe (Cathy) Gipson and Tim Gipson; sisters, Sharon Cunningham and Carol (Gene) Oldham; grandchildren, Giancarlo Francis, Kelsey (Robert) Nihiser, Wade Brooks (Sierra Rutherford), Jacquelynn Ruot (Will Deters), and Mackenzie Ruot; great-grandchildren, Caiden Francis, twins Adalynn and Ashtynn Nihiser and Zayne Brooks,and twelve step-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; sister, Betty Stickle and son-in-law, Greg Blakeman.
