Actor. He is remembered for playing 'Captain/Major Roger Healey' in the television series "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965-1970) and 'Howard Borden' in "The Bob Newhart Show" (1972 to 1978). Daily was initially a bassist and performed in numerous Midwest clubs prior to serving as an artilleryman with the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his return home, he enrolled at the Goodman Theatre School and upon graduation, he landed a position as an announcer at a Chicago radio station. This led to a lengthy association with Steve Allen, first as an announcer on the TV program "Tonight!" (1953) and later "The New Steve Allen Show" (1964). In addition to acting, Daily appeared on several TV game shows which include "The Hollywood Squares," "Match Game" and "Tattletales."
