Savannah Jean Smith, 10, of Winchester, died from injuries sustained in an auto accident Saturday, May 5, 2007 in Louisville, Ky.

She was born Aug. 3, 1996 in Kokomo. She attended Willard Elementary School, Winchester, where she was a fourth grader. She attended Union Street Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed singing, dancing and softball.

Survivors include her mother, Mary (Cox) Smith of Winchester; her father, Anthony Smith of Kokomo; her stepfather, Thomas Pollitt of Winchester; a twin brother, Allen Smith of Winchester; a sister, Ila Smith of Winchester; her maternal grandfather, Haskell D. Cox of Cub Run, Ky.; her paternal grandmother, Opal (husband Rolland) McKibben of Kokomo; her paternal step grandmother, Patricia Pollit of Winchester; and several cousins, aunts and uncles and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Alice F. Cox.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Union Street Wesleyan Church, Winchester, with Rev. Randy Yaryan officiating. Burial is at Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the church as well as one hour before services.

Walker Funeral Home, Winchester, is in charge of arrangements.
