Beverly, our beloved mother, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2018 at Masonic Pathways in Alma. Mother was born , in Bethany Township, the daughter of Lester I. and Bernice E. (McFarlane) Hoard.
Beverly attended Melba Beauty College in Lansing, and became a licensed Beautician. She owned and operated Beverly’s Beauty Shop in Ithaca, where she raised her family. She loved going to yard sales, knitting, and crocheting, working in her yard, and tending her rose bushes. She enjoyed sitting on the porch at Laureen’s house and watching the wildlife. She especially loved her children and grandchildren and the time she was able to spend with each of them.
Beverly is survived by her four children, Lesta (Rich) Chiarilli of California, Michael (Glenn) Berry of Sebastian, FL., Lisa (Joe) Hernandez of St. Louis, and Laureen (Bill) Baxter of Alma; seven beloved grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; her brother, Carlisle Hoard of Battle Creek; and her sister-in-law, Zellie Hoard, of Ithaca.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Milton Hoard, and her parents.
Funeral services were Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Interment followed in Lafayette Township Cemetery.
