Obituary of Judith Armstrong

Judith A. Armstrong, 77, Gas City, went to be with the Lord in her home at 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018. She was born in Marion on January 23, 1941, to the late Wesley D. and Doris M. (Kidwell) Bonewitz. She married James R. Armstrong on July 15, 1967, and he survives.

Judith was a graduate of Mississinewa High School and retired from Gen Corp after 32 years of service. She enjoyed attending car shows, camping and traveling in their RV, and going to farm toy shows. She also enjoyed reading and Sudoku puzzles. Judith loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly, as well as her four dogs, Mazy, Daisy, Sam, and Charlie.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, James; children, Dorinda (Thomas) McCord, Somerset, Melinda (Jimmy) Cato Armstrong, Lake Jackson, Texas, Jim L. (Tammy) Armstrong, Jonesboro, and Jaye (Brian) Holland, Marion; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dale Bonewitz, Marion.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her siblings, Rick Bonewitz, Mary Alice Southworth, Tom Bonewitz, and Steve Bonewitz.

A graveside service September 6, 2018, at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Mark Atkinson and Pastor Brian Holland officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
