April 10, 1934 - August 29th, 2018

Paul Stanley Heath went to be with his savior surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

Paul was born in Greeley, Colorado on April 10, 1934 to Elmer and Grace Heath, the third of four children. He had one brother, Joel Heath, and two sisters, Alice (Heath) Johnson and Iris (Heath) Ellis.

Paul earned a BA in Education at Southern California Bible College (now Vanguard University) where he met the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Barbara Riley. In addition, he earned a Masters in Education at San Francisco State University.

Paul taught History and Math at Kennedy Junior High in Cupertino. He also taught at Eisenhower School in Santa Clara. He was a lifelong learner and an advocate for education, but his true calling and gifting was in business.

Paul started investing in property while he was still a school teacher, as he had observed his own father’s entrepreneurship. He saw the potential in owning properties and watched his investments grow. They continued to grow to the point, he took time off from teaching to get his “side business” in order. He never had to return to teaching. The business continued to grow with the help of his now adult sons.

He and Barbara attended Sunnyvale First Assembly of God, Southbay Christian Center, and finally, Bethel Church of San Jose. Paul taught Sunday School and sat on many official boards and shared his wisdom in business and education. They were strong supporters of both home and foreign missions. They gave generously of their resources. Paul and Barbara even traveled to visit many of the children they sponsored in Latin America.

Paul was known for his hospitality and hearty laugh. He had the ability to make everyone feel welcome and accepted. He and Barbara often hosted gatherings in their home and had a life long friendships with many people all over the world.

Paul is survived by his four Children, Bryan (and Nancy) Heath, Mark (and Cindee) Heath, Bruce (and Connie) Heath and April (Heath) Walewski, 12 Grandchildren and eight Great- Grandchildren, and his sister, Iris Ellis.

There will be a Memorial Service at Bethel Church of San Jose at 1201 S. Winchester Blvd, San Jose, California at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8th.
