Marie was born in Easton, PA, on Dec. 14, 1961, a daughter of the late Lloyd J. and Phyllis (Raimondi) Kneebone.
She was the wife of Dean Sanders; together they would have celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on Sept. 11.
Marie was employed as a beautician at The Village Salon in Tannersville, PA. She was a 1980 graduate of Bangor High School and graduated from the former Stroudsburg School of Cosmetology. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She attended St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pen Argyl.
In addition to her husband, Dean, Marie is survived by a daughter, Stefanie Sanders and her fiance, Anthony Kowalczyk; a son, Brett Sanders; a brother, Joseph Kneebone, husband of Cia; a grandson, Lloyd Kowalczyk, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Sept. 10, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1422 Church Rd., Pen Argyl, PA, with Rev. Chris Druckenmiller officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, Sept. 10, in the church. Burial will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Bangor, PA.
