She accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of fourteen and was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake Village, Arkansas.
Carla attended Lake Village public schools and played the flute in the Lakeside High School Marching Band. She was a 1988 graduate from Lakeside High. She attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and worked in the Home Health field for many years. In 1997, she moved to Conway, Arkansas and worked at Virco Manufacturing Corp until she became a housewife. In 2015, she worked as a pet groomer for the estate of Robert and Patricia Cogbell of Conway, Arkansas until her health failed.
From ans early age, Carla loved animals especially cats and dogs. As a child she had a cat she named Mama Cat. She spoiled that cat and all of her offspring and she expected her family members to do the same. She has two Shih Tzu's, Sissy and Wonderer. Above all, she loved her husband, Loyce, whom she married in 2005, and her children but the light of her life was her granddaughter who she affectionately called her Pot of Gold. Carla was very outgoing and most outspoken. She would say what was on her mind. Like her mother, she was a very good cook. She always enjoyed fellowshipping with friends and family. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Martha White and Yvonne Freeman; four brothers, Jones White, Alfred Freeman, Don White and Levern Freeman, Jr.
Survivors: husband of thirteen years, Loyce Love; daughter, Kiara M. Freeman of Phoenix, AZ; three sons, Keith M. Freeman, Kyle M. Freeman and Kyren M. Freeman all of Conway, AR; one granddaughter, Amiyah K. Cain; four brothers, Nelson White, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Dewayne White of Los Angeles, CA, Cedric Freeman (Tiffany) of Little Rock, AR and Bobby Earl Freeman of Maumell, AR; five sisters, Madora White of Chicago, IL, Patricia White of Kansas City, KS, Laura Ann Freeman of Little Rock, AR, Tarsha Freeman Armour (Gerard and Barbara Dixon all of Lake Village, AR; a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 14, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 314 S. Lakeshore Drive, Lake Village, AR. Visitation 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Thursday, September 13, at the funeral home. Interment St. Isidore Cemetery in Lake Village, AR.
