"Milo Goodenough, formerly a farmer at Springfield and Middlefield but for the past score of years a resident of Oneonta, having been employed at the Quality Silk mill on East street for fifteen years until about two years ago, died about 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon of last week at his home, 12 Oneida street in Oneonta. Death was due to a heart attack and complications. Milo Goodenough was born in the town of Westford June 13, 1861. After operating farms at Springfield and Middlefield through most of his life, Mr. Goodenough went to Oneonta twenty years ago. Surviving are his widow, Ella Goodenough, whom he married February 13, 1884; two brothers, Arthur Goodenough of Middlefield and George Goodenough of Rock Rift; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Brown of Milford; a son, Louis V. Goodenough of Oneonta; and a granddaughter, Mrs. Ella May Curtis of Oneonta. To them the sincere sympathy of many friends throughout this locality will be extended. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Arthur Mead Parce, pastor of the Main Street Baptist church, officiated, and burial was made in the Plains cemetery.
