Freeport- It is with both sadness and happiness the family of Nate Allen announces his expected passing on September 4, 2018. Nate was born on July 19, 1928 to Leonard and Marion (Goldrupp) Allen, living his entire life in Freeport, ME.

On October 15, 1949, Nate married Virginia Libby where their hard work and love for each other truly made their 68 years together all worth it.

From 1950-1957, their boys were born. The boys grew up, the boys married, and the boys and their wives had children; Nate Jr. and Randee Sue, Dale and Cookie, Russ and Terry, Mark and Sue, Scott and Beth; their 11 grandchildren, and Nate and Ginnie’s still counting number of great grandchildren were so fortunate for the times they had with Dad, Pop, Grandpa and Grampy. We know we were lucky and he was to.

In addition to his parents, Nate was predeceased by his three brothers and two sisters, with one sister still kicking. He was predeceased by many, many friends and other family members, with some of his many friends and family still kicking.

Nate was an Army Veteran, a long standing member of the Fraternal Order of Redman, and founding father of the Geeky Horseshoe Club. To say he will be missed is the understatement of his long life. See you later alligator, in a while crocodile.
