Bonnie Hilton Norman, beloved Mom and Mee-maw passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at M.D. Anderson hospital.

Mrs. Norman was born February 20, 1935, in Poynor, Texas to T.B. "Pete" Hilton and Ethel Mae Roberts Hilton (Treadway). She graduated from Texas City High School and went to work for the telephone company.

She married Jack L. Norman on April 1, 1955, and they made their home in La Marque, Texas. Her career changed to that of wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker in 1956 when their first child was born.

Mrs. Norman was a woman of great faith and was active in the church she loved, Paul's Union Church in La Marque, until her health prevented it. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and VBS, and was a member of the Alvina Burch - Deborah Circle. She was also a member of the La Marque Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Pumper Racing Team for many years. She was a kind and gentle person who always thought of others first, always willing to help no matter what the call.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years Jack "Poppy" Norman and daughter Deena Annette Norman, her parents, step-father Monroe "Pop" Treadway, brothers Bobby and Billy Hilton, sister Linda Theiler; nephew Jerry Steinbach; and step-sister Doris Marie "Teenie" Van Hoy.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Rusty Norman, wife Christie, and Ki Norman, wife Wendy; grandchildren Lauren Norman and David Norman, wife Jessica; and great-grandson Mason Norman who was the light of her life. Bonnie is also survived by her brother-in-law Joe Dunten and sister-in-law Bonnie Sue Hilton. She was looking forward to the arrival of her second great-grandson, Madden, in July. In addition she will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and many very special friends.

Pallbearers will be David Norman, Wayne Cucco, Steve Cutler, Bobby Whitley, Donald Baker, and Gale Van Hoy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Howard Ohlund, Herb Townsend, and Ben Buchanan.

The family will receive visitors Saturday, June 4, 5:00-8:00 at Crowder Funeral in La Marque. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Paul's Union Church in La Marque, TX with Pastor Doug Mc Brayer officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of James Crowder Funeral home in La Marque.

The family would like to thank Dr. Pavuluri, Dr. Kodali and the doctors and medical team at MD Anderson for the outstanding care given to our mom.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Paul's Union Church Restoration Fund, 1709 Oak St. La Marque, TX, 77568.
