Carmen Alayne Cannon, 63, died Wednesday morning at Hospice House Satilla following a long illness.

She was a native of Waycross and had lived most of her life in Blackshear and Waycross.
She was the daughter of the late Marlyn Cason and Nelda Story Cason and also preceded in death by her first husband Langdon Bennett ( they were married June 12, 1976 .. )

She was a Graduate of Blackshear High School and retired from Mayo Clinic Health System of Waycross and was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Barry Cannon of Waycross;
2 sons,
Chad Bennett of Brunswick
Chris Bennett (wife Thea) of Dallas, TX;

three grandchildren,
Vincent Thomas,
Felicity Bennett,
Lillian Bennett;

two step-daughters,
Dena Weber of Lakeland, FL
Jennifer Boughey of Norcross, GA;
a step-son,
Barry Cannon, Jr of Kennesaw, GA;
8 step grandchildren,
Chris Cannon, Amanda Janney, Emily Hutto, Madeline and Miles Weber, Zander, Piper and Addison Boughey;
seven step great grandchildren,

a sister
Linda Beck of Brunswick, GA;
a brother,
Wayne Cason of Blackshear, GA;
and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Greenlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Music Funeral Home.

Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
