Patsy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She was a charter member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and following her move to Stokes county, Patsy joined Flat Rock Presbyterian Church. She retired from Hanes Hosiery with more than 40 years of service.
In addition to her parents Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Rogers Jr.; daughter, Martha Rogers Johnson; and brother-in-law, William “Bud” Covington.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin Spainhour (Kevin); son, Robert Rogers (Deborah); son-in-law, Dr. Terry Johnson; three grandsons: Zachary Johnson, Dr. Samuel Johnson (Kathrine), and Landon Rogers; sister, Phoebe Covington; brother, Michael Sheppard (Carol); and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, September 8 at Highland Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends for the hour following the service.
