.Estella "Sue" Brown was born January 1, 1933 to the late Clara Clayton and Washington Brown in Mitchell County, Georgia. She was formally educated in the Oak Grove School System.

Sue, as she was affectionately called, accepted CHRIST as her Savior at an early age at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She opened her home to any friend in search of a hot meal or just great conversation. A true matriarch, Sue's true passion was her family and she took pride in offering her wisdom and history whenever she greeted them. She often reflected and thanked GOD for allowing her to witness her legacy for five generations.

While in her home on Thursday, March 16, 2017, GOD peacefully whispered to Sue, "Well done good and faithful servant... Let's celebrate," and she delightfully donned her wings.

She was gracefully greeted by her parents, daughter (Mary Hodges), son (Larry Brown), grandson (Johnny Burkes), sisters (Lillian Brown, Hattie Alexander and Erma Kelly), brothers (Robert Brown, Sr., Thomas Brown, Sr., and Bland Brown, Sr.), daughter-in-law (Doris Brown), son-in-law (Bob Hodges, Sr.), and sisters-in-law (Viola Brown and Dorothy Brown), all who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, four daughters, Debra (Willie) Fluellen, Claretha Spence, Betty D. Brown and India Brown; three sons, James Brown, Sr., Freddie Brown, and Victor (Rose) Brown; one brother, Benjamin (Elvira) Brown; one sister-in-law, Betty J. Brown; sixteen grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
