Rachel J. Allen, 91 of Hurricane, passed away September 5, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pearl J. Allen of 68 years. They are reunited in heaven rejoicing together. They were members of Grace Baptist Temple, St. Albans, where she sang in the choir and in a lady trio for many years at Grace Baptist Temple and many other churches and revival meetings around the region.
Rachel is survived by her son, Randy Allen; daughter, Linda Spurlock and son-in-law, Gary Spurlock; grandsons, Ryan Miller (Brittany Cannon), Alex Allen and Cameron Allen and great-granddaughters, Baylee, Anna, Cassie, Emily and Marlee.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Rev. Brian Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Hurricane. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 prior to the service.
