Sylvia Gertrude Tincher was born Aug. 19, 1934 in the Boone County Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of William Ira and Cornelia Mary Montague (Coxe) Tincher. She received her education at the Boone County Country Schools, Sacred Heart School and attended high school at the Columbia Missouri Lab School. Sylvia was united in marriage to Robert LaVerne Berry on Dec. 31, 1955 in the Methodist Chapel in Columbia, Missouri. To this union three daughters and a son were born. Sylvia worked in nursing homes, hospitals, child daycare centers as a teacher's aide and did cleaning jobs. She was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church.
Sylvia is survived by her husband of 62 years Robert.
