Jean was born February 12, 1925 in Shadyside, a daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Steele Barlowe-Glasow.
Jean was retired executive secretary for the Shadyside School District, a member of Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Captina Chapter 489 and was a volunteer at Belmont Community Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm B. Curry in 1995; a son, Kim B. Curry in 1994; her step-father, Raymond Glasow, two brothers, Jack Barlowe and Jerry Glasow.
Surviving are a daughter, Melody (Don) Ciszewski of Shadyside; a brother, James R. (Sue) Glasow of St. Clairsville, OH; a sister, Jane (Harry) Coffield of Columbus, OH; two grandsons, Dr. Brent Jarrett and Travis (Terri) Jarrett; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Jarrett, Miles Jarrett, Laura Jarrett and Justin Jarrett.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Burial in Powhatan Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
