She was born September 13, 1927, to Norman and Violet (Fahrforth) Brown. She was the devoted wife of Cleve Powell, Jr. who she married on April 11, 1947 in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and sister, Violet Cloward.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed reading detective novels and doing crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Jerome United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women’s Club. She loved animals, especially her dogs and cats.
Beverly was the beloved mother of Cheryl Powell, Terry (Susie) Powell, Carey (Carol) Powell and Michael Powell; loving grandmother of Jay Powell, Jody (Jenni) Powell, Don (Misty) Brown, Cara (Nate) Knutson, Maggie (Tom) Packman and Kate Powell. She also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and granddogs, Crash and Tayla.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Roseberry officiating.
