Jeremy Steven Gilbert, age 32, of Denver, Colorado passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018. Jeremy was born February 23, 1986 in Denver, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, June S. and Robert O. Rooney.

Jeremy graduated early from Heritage High School in December 2003 to join the United States Marine Corps in January 2004. He served proudly in Iraq and Southeast Asia from 2004-2008. During this time he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for Valor. Upon his discharge, Jeremy began college classes at the University of Colorado at Denver and later transferred to the Colorado School of Mines. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 2013. He played varsity soccer for Mines and was a member of the Petroleum Engineering Honor Society. He was admitted to the University of Denver graduate program and was preparing to start the MBA program in September 2018. Jeremy will always be remembered as a loving son and grandson, a caring brother and cousin, a fun uncle, and a true friend to many.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeremy's name to either of these ministries: Redemption Church, 2801 Antlers Road, Gillette, WY 82718 and Cru - Military Fund, 100 Lake Hart Drive, Orlando, FL 32832.
