Christina O. Short, 96, of Brook, formerly of Kentland, passed away at 3:45 AM Sunday, August 26, 2018 at George Ade Memorial Health Care Center of Brook.

She was born February 2, 1922 in Wadena, IN to the late George and Olive C. (Hagenbuch) Hollingsworth.

Christina worked for Better Coil and Transformer of Goodland for several years as a multiple winder. She also worked in the Hammond area as a home caregiver for 10 years.

In her spare time, Christina enjoyed dancing to Big Band music, ballroom dancing, and an avid TV watcher.

Surviving are children, Roger Durham of Monticello, Beverly (husband: Mike) Bower of Cedar Lake, and John (wife: Cheryl) Durham of Goodland. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her parents are a daughter Karen Hanson, brothers, Kenneth, Cecil, Frank, James Hollingsworth and a sister, Kate Smith. She is also preceded by a great-great grandchild, Liberty German, named in honor of Liberty German of Delphi.

Friends may call from 10 AM (CST) until the time of Funeral Service 11 AM (CST) Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Rev. Cecil Smith to officiate. Interment to follow in Goodland Cemetery.
