She was born at home on a tobacco farm in Seven Springs, N.C. on April 22, 1927. She graduated from Seven Springs High School and earned a music degree from Meredith College, class of 1947.
She was a public school music teacher for three years in Wilmington, N.C., served as a volunteer church organist for several years and taught private piano lessons in her home. She was a member of Richmond's First Baptist Church for 52 years.
Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her parents, Royle Kornegay and Mabel Waller Herring Kornegay; brothers, Raymond DeWitt Kornegay and Russell Wingate Kornegay; sister, Elva Alice Kornegay Chambers; and brother-in-law, Clarence Wolfersberger Chambers.
She is survived by sons, William Dwight Graham (Michelle) of Midlothian, Va. and Glenn Russell Graham of Richmond, Va.; daughter, Dianne Graham of Richmond, Va.
