Mrs. Ruby Elega Stamps Sims, age 90 of Sparta, passed away on Tuesday morning September 4, 2018 at St. Thomas Highlands Hospital.
Mrs. Sims was born January 4, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late Luther & Myrtle Stamps. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Sims, and a foster sister, Elsie Griffin.

3 Daughters: Darnell (Gary) Day of Decherd, TN, Earlayne (Jim) Cantrell of Quebeck, TN, and Leanne (Greg) Frasier of Sparta

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, September 7, 2018 in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10am until the time of service. Carl Sims and Dale Sims will officiate the service.
Will Day, Payton Sims, Lanny Wheeler, Gary Day, Greg Frasier and Jim Cantrell will serve as pallbearers.
