Tamara “Tammy” Kelly, 59 of Kankakee passed away September 2, 2018 at Riverside Medical Center. She was born November 3, 1958 to Don and Marilyn (Saltee) Baerenwald. Tamara married Gregg Kelly.
She worked for Unidine Food Service at Heritage Village as the food service director. Tammy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo, MN.
Tammy is survived by her husband Gregg of Kankakee, her mother, Marilyn Baerenwald of Montevideo, MN, a son, Mitchell Kelly of Limestone and a daughter, Hannah Kelly (Derek Devine) of Kankakee. Also surviving are 2 sisters and a brother-in-law; Brenda DeJong of Montevideo, MN, Vicky (Rick) Schlenner of Brownton, MN, a brother, Kim Baerenwald of Montevideo, MN and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Don Baerenwald and father-in-law, Elwood Kelly.
The visitation will be 4-8 pm, Friday, September 7th at the Schreffler Funeral Home, Kankakee Chapel and 10-11 am Saturday September 8th at the Zion Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, September 8th and Pastor John Kiefer will officiate. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
