Patsy Marlene Allen, age 77, died Saturday, September 2, 2018, at Bourbon Community Hospital, in Paris, Kentucky. She was born May 23, 1941, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late James Reese, Sr., and Ella Lee Sams Watkins. Patsy was a graduate of Nicholas County High School.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her dog, Rusty; and her best friend, Elsie Mingua Luallen. She is survived by: a special daughter, Nicki Shewmaker Hunt, of Paris; a special friend and neighbor, David Shewmaker, of Paris; a sister, Wilma Shannon, of Paris; a brother, Jimmy Watkins, of Mount Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at Paris Cemetery Chapel by Lynn Luallen. Casket bearers will be Ricky Mingua, Jack Mingua, Jimmy Mason, John Hunt, Joey Winer, Mike Dailey, Bill Watson and Adam Smith. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Paris Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), P.O. Box 222, Paris, Kentucky 40362.
