She enjoyed working at Sears for 26 years in the Hearing Aid Department and was a member First Christian Church where she was a choir member and food bank helper.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Stan) Colligan and Jill (John) Hine both of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Chad, Patrick, and Chloe; four great-grandchildren, Joey, Max, Seth, and Savannah; sisters Norma, Carol, Janet, Janine, and Sharon; and brothers, Eldon and Dan.
Joan was preceded in death by her brothers Leon and Ron Fruitt and her beloved husband William.
Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
