Deborah Kay “Debbie” Bradley, 63, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018, surrounded by her family after a three-month battle with a rare form of Lymphoma. Debbie was born in Lexington, VA to Elvin and Shirley Fitzgerald on November 26, 1954.

She went to school in Rockbridge County and graduated from Waynesboro High School. She married the love of her life, Charles Bradley on February 17, 1972. She graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with a degree in nursing. Debbie committed her life to caring for others. She was a Registered Nurse at Augusta Health for over 35 years and retired from the Quality Management office in 2014.

Debbie will be remembered by her kind soul and infectious smile. She was selfless. She always put others first and her family meant more to her than life itself. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, traveling (especially to the beach), and shopping for others in her short-lived retirement days. Debbie loved life. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Charles Bradley; her mother, Shirley Fitzgerald and her sister, Barbara Goff.

In addition to her father, Elvin “Buddy” Fitzgerald, Debbie is survived by her children; son, Chris Bradley and wife, Kim of Montebello; son, Wesley Bradley and wife, Theresa of Stuarts Draft and daughter, Ashley Schiano Moriello and husband, Biagio of Staunton. She is also survived by her siblings; sister, Kathy Shifflett and husband, Jeff of Stuarts Draft and brother, Mike Fitzgerald and wife, Cheryl of Verona; her grandchildren; Taylor, Morgan, Colton and Alisa Bradley, Gianluca and Liliana Schiano Moriello, and her longtime companion, Marion Hawse of Fishersville; sisters-in-law, Gail Bradley of Montebello and Sandy Bradley of Spout Spring; as well as numerous nephews and extended family and friends.

The family of Deborah Bradley will receive visitors at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Mount Paran Baptist Church, 7140 Irish Creek Road, Vesuvius, on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Billy Coffey and Fred Salmons officiating.
