Margie was born in Lindale, Texas on July 1, 1936 to Oleta Tucker Ringer and Elmer Ringer. She moved to Orange in 1940. She attended school in West Orange and graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in 1954. In June of 1954 she married the love of her life, Billy Coleman and they were married for 60 years until his passing in 2014. She worked as an x-ray technician at Francis Ann Lutcher Hospital until the birth of their two sons and she chose to be a stay-at-home mom. She holds a lifetime membership in Texas PTA. After her boys were in Junior High, she went to work as a part-time secretary at First Baptist Church, West Orange where she was a very active member for 50 years, teaching Sunday School and working anywhere from elementary to senior adults. She also worked as a part-time secretary for St. John Methodist Church for 17 years. She grew up in West Orange and continued to live there until she and her husband moved to their church membership to Mac Arthur Heights Baptist Church where she continued to serve the Lord.
