Ronald Gerald Rodgers, 61, of Miles City, Montana died Wednesday, August 29th, 2018. His wife of 24 years Sheryl, his dog Chica, and several friends were by his side when he passed. Ron has been a hero to many as he battled several life-threatening illnesses these past 14 months. His strength and courage being a testimony to each person that crossed his path during this time.

Ron was born to Charles and Shirley (Walter) Rodgers August 27th, 1957 in Anchorage, Alaska. He grew up in Laurel, Montana, he attended Laurel Senior High School where he played football and track. He graduated in 1976.

After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy. He proudly served his country from March 1977 to 1980, where was stationed in Hawaii. He then attended Eastern Montana College in Billings and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Rehabilitation and Related Services in 1986. Ron worked for many years in the rehabilitation of the disabled.

On May 7th, 1994 he married the love of his life, Sheryl Sue Lynch in Plentywood, Montana. Ron and Sheryl had a very loving and cherished marriage. Their dogs were their children and they were very well loved.

Being with family and friends were Ron’s most treasured times on earth. He blessed all with his visits just as much as he was blessed by them. He loved everyone and was the most committed person to any and all relationships.

He will forever be missed by his wife, his parents, sister, brother, nephew , 5 nieces, and 10 great nieces and nephews.
