Rachel (Glasscock) Clark of Celeste went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was born in Kingston, TX, on October 15, 1932. Rachel lived a full and happy life as she enjoyed gardening, cheering at sports events and working crossword puzzles. Above all else, she enjoyed family vacations to the Colorado Rockies, Sunday family dinners and worshipping at First Baptist Church of Celeste where she was a lifetime member. She was also an active member of the Celeste Thursday Club and the Celeste Coffee Club.
Rachel is survived by her husband of 66 years, Clifford Clark, her daughter, Tonja Saye, and son and daughter-in-law, Collin and Dana Clark, all of Celeste. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Glasscock of Waxahachie and sister-in-law, Ann Holding of Garland. She was blessed with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Hub and Nina Mae Glasscock, sister Wanda Glasscock and brother JB Glasscock.
A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Celeste on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Jim Sherwin and Dr. James Ralson officiating. Visitation will be 1 P.M. until services time at the church. Coker Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Larry Glasscock, Mike Riley, Howard Gray, Cody Clark, Tyson Fielden and Preston Griffith.
