Michele Marie Carey, 17, of 4278 Henderson Place, Onondaga, died Thursday at University Hospital from injuries suffered in an automobile accident Sunday in the town of Fayette.

Michele was a life resident of the Syracuse area. She was a senior at West Hill High School, where she was a member of the varsity volleyball team.

Michele was a communicant of St. Charles of Borromeo Church.

Surviving are her parents, Philip and Constance Carey of the town of Onondaga; a brother, Shawn P., and a sister, Colleen Ann Carey, both at home; her paternal grandparents, Vern and Elizabeth Carey of Liverpool; and her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Ann Macko of East Syracuse.

Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Charles of Borromeo Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 1628 W. Genesee St.
