WALKERTON - Sandra Cochran, aged 70, passed away peacefully in Walkerton on June 25, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends. A lifelong resident of Walkerton, IN, and recently of Sebring, FL, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Woody Cochran; her children, Jenny Cochran of Walkerton, Charlotte (Rob) Kelley of Walkerton, Barb (Jon) Coburn of Walls, MS, Lori (Ben Crowder) Cochran of Walkerton, Sandy Cochran of Walkerton, Brian (Sarah Martin) Cochran of Mishawaka and Jennifer (Greg) Koscielny of Goshen: eleven grandchildren & four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ed Martin (Ruthie) of Argos, Janice (Ernie) Burch of South Haven, MS, Judy Martin (Larry) Haynes of Walls, MS, Anna (Cochran) Listenberger of Plymouth, Gib (Phyllis) Cochran of Cape Canaveral, FL, and Mary Jo (Cochran) Singleton of Walkerton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Deveda Martin; her brother, James Martin; and her in-laws, Woodrow and Ellen Cochran, Dick Listenberger and George Singleton. Sandra and Woody were married March 18, 1960, in Tyner, IN. She worked at Annis Finer Foods, LaPaz and Martin's Greenhouse, Walkerton. After raising their children they retired to Sebring, FL, where she enjoyed antiquing, boating, hosting many visits by family and friends, and daily contests of SkipBo, Cribbage, & Wii bowling with her husband. As Sandra wished, she will be cremated with a memorial service for all family and friends on Friday, July 5th, from 5:00 pm to 8 pm at the Tyner Community Building. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the charity of your choice .
