She was born on Oct. 6, 1912, in Peabody, Mass., a daughter of Joseph and Charlotte (Pothier) Bourque.
She had worked as a bookkeeper for Converse Rubber in Malden, Mass., and in the accounting department of the Malden Hospital.
She had resided in Massachusetts and Maryland and moved to York 20 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Christopher-by-the Sea Church of York. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint.
She was predeceased by her husband, John K. Wendell, who died in 1972.
Survivors include her son, Robert W. Wendell of Santa Clarita, Calif.; her daughter, Carol A. Wood of Rockville, Md.; one sister, Helen Scanlon of Vermont; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday in St. Christopher Church, York Street, York. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woburn, Mass. Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York.
