He was the son of John C. Donaugh and Jessie May Hawn. He married Viva Ruth Owens at McMinnville, Oregon, on August 17, 1940.

U. S. Official Dies At 64

Carl C. Donaugh, deputy director, Portland office of the U. S. Department of Commerce, died Monday of an apparent heart seizure.

He was 64, a native of Portland, and resided at 4328 SW Idaho Dr. He has been in the commerce post since 1962.

He was U. S. Attorney for Oregon from 1933 to 1946, director of the Office of Price Stabilization between 1951-53, and was president of Optimist International in 1945.

He was a graduate of Northwestern College of Law, was a member of the Oregon Bar Association, and had been a member of the regional loyalty board of the U. S. Civil Service Commission. He also served as a relief municipal judge.

He had been a vice president of the Security Bank of Oregon and the Oregon Mutual Savings Bank.

He had been a president of the Columbia Athletic Club, Potentate of Al Kader Shrine Temple, a member of the city planning commission and of the Linfield College board of trustees, and was a past president of the Pacific Coast International Association of Law Enforcement Officials.

Survivors include the widow Viva R., and two daughters Mrs. William C. Sayers and Mrs. C. E. Gronvold, all of Portland.

Funeral is pending with Colonial Mortuary.
