Donald G. Wilcox, age 82 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018. He was born December 12, 1935 in Waterloo, Iowa. Don had a passion for writing poetry and playing guitar, he also sang in a quartet. He would dress up as Santa for his family and also would volunteer as Santa for Orphanages and did so for many years. Don adored children and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was a devoted member of The Covenant at Sugar Grove Church and loved his church family. He is survived by his daughter: Laura Baggette, daughter-in-Law: Helen Wilcox, brother: Dale (Elaine) Wilcox, grandchildren: Nathan (Danna) Wilcox, Adam (DeAnn) Wilcox, Ian Baggette, Lisa (Phillip) Carter, 5 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Katherine “Kay” (Hennings) Wilcox, son: Dr. Mark Don Wilcox, parents: Everett and Edna (Miles) Wilcox. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at The Covenant at Sugar Grove Church (7875 S. Kessler-Frederick Rd., Tipp City) with Pastor Jody McGuire officiating. Interment will follow the service at Polk Grove Cemetery. T
