Charlotte Nannette Mitchell Cox (79), also known as Aunt Sister, Nana, CC and Mom, went to be with her Savior in Heaven at 2:55 p.m. on 8/31/2018 at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN. after a two month battle with stage IV kidney cancer.

Born 6/1/1939 in Memphis, TN. to Charles and Virginia
Mitchell, she graduated from Messick High School (1957) where she met her future husband Terry (married 7/15/1958.) They began their married life in Panama City, FL with him performing his Air Force duties and Charlotte working as a doctor's assistant. Later, as Terry's work took them to New Mexico, California and Colorado, she would work for several doctors in this capacity. She considered her most important job as a homemaker, adopting her son Trent and giving birth to her daughter Marisa.

The family finally settled back in Memphis in 1978 near her extended family, with her final residence being 110 Fisherville Rd. in Fayette County, TN. She retired (twice) from UT Memphis Medical Research Center, where she was an Administrative Assistant. She is a member of the First Baptist Church, Fisherville Charlotte was a meticulous crafter with forays into ceramics, decoupage, interior design and antique collecting, she maintained interest in these things in her later years but spent most of her time studying her Bible, shopping and her favorite thing: watching her grandies grow up.

Charlotte is survived by her husband Terry Cox; son Trent Cox (Lisa); daughter Marisa Cox Bost (Tracy) and daughters Felicity and Farrah; aunt Eileen Mitchell; sisters Lilly Kaye Mitchell Markel (Albert), Donna Crews Mizialko (Eddy) and Joy Crews; plus several nephews and nieces.
