Raymond entered the United States Army on June 8, 1945. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, and was honorably discharged on December 2, 1946. After serving in the Army, he attended Xavier University in New Orleans as a World War II veteran, and graduated May 29, 1952 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Raymond moved west to Los Angeles, California in the mid-1950s and held positions at North American Aviation and Lockheed Aircraft. In the 1970s, he became a general contractor and started his own business, "Ray Weber Construction Co.", specializing in plumbing and repairing HUD homes. In 1992, with his wife Gwendolyn, he relocated to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada to enjoy their retirement.
Raymond had a son, Raymond W. Weber, Jr., and a daughter, Ellyn Rae Weber-Bynum (Loren). He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Gwendolyn Malry Weber; his parents George Langston Weber and Augusta Ambrose Weber; and his siblings: Catherine Weber Dukes, Hilda Weber Pharr, Langston Weber, Lawrence Weber, Irene Weber Crosier, Rosemary Weber, and Dolores Weber Bocage.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memories his devoted daughter, Ellyn, his son-in-law Loren, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and many special friends.
