Ray A. Winfrey, a Mill Valley insurance salesman, died yesterday at a local hospital after a long illness. He was 38.
He was born in South Dakota. He came to the Bay Area in 1961 and to Marin in 1965, living at 9 Carmelita Avenue.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Coslett Winfrey, and 2 sons, Jonathan and Matthew, all of the family home; his mother, Alma Winfrey, of Las Vegas; 2 brothers, Rex and Leo; and 2 sisters, Maxine Stoddard and Lacygene Smith.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Episcopal
Church of Our Savior, Mill Valley. Friends may call at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
