Jean Allyn (Donnelly) Stark died peacefully in her sleep on August 25, 2018 in Walnut Creek. She was 95. Jean was a native of Richmond and a life long resident.

She graduated from Richmond Union High School in December 1940, and served her country during World War II in the US Navy WAVES. A beloved mother and homemaker she was a member of St. Cornelius Church, and past-president of the St. Cornelius Mothers' Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry C. and Ivy (Connick) Donnelly, and her husband John W. Stark.

She is survived by her daughters Marianne (Donald) Bradley of Pleasanton, Virginia Stark of Ohio and Patricia (Robert) Guzman of Idaho, her sister Patricia Pierce of Richmond, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on September 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Point Richmond. A private interment will be held at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the restoration efforts of the SS Red Oak Victory Ship, 1337 Canal Blvd., Berth 5, Richmond, CA 94804 or to the charity of your choice.
