Reason Husband, a veteran of the civil war, died at his home in Rosedale, Wednesdaay evening, at the age of seventy-two years after a lingering illness of tuberculosis. He is s residence Friday morning with burial in "Forks of the Creek" cemetery.

Reason Husbaand of Rosedale, was buried at the Forks of the Creek cemetery Friday. The funeral was preached by Rev. Smith of Rosedale at Friendly Grove.

6th Cavalry (71st Indiana Regiment), Co. G
The Regiment Roster lists "Reason Husbands" as being a Private from Peoria, Illinois. He was enrolled at Montezuma, Indiana on Aug 11, 1862 and mustered in at Indianapolis on Aug 18, 1862. He mustered out June 17, 1865.

Company G was made up of mostly soldiers from Parke County. His brother-in-law John Wesley Feuquay (Find A Grave Memorial# 18842585) was in the same company.
