Otis Jackson, Jr. was born on May 28, 1934 in Camilla, Georgia to the late Otis Jackson, Jr. and Audrey Mae Jackson.

He attended school in Mitchell County. He was a roofer with Mayo and Company in Miami, Florida for over twenty years. Otis later returned to Camilla, Georgia and retired in 1997.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Jackson and Willie C. Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories four children, Wayne Jackson of Pelham, Georgia, Beverly (Ronald) Gaitor, Damita (Arthur) Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia, Otis Hunter of Miami, Florida.

He leaves six brothers, Thomas Carter, Jr of Vero Beach, Florida, Woodrow Jackson of Homestead, Florida, Roy (Betty) Jackson, David Jackson and Willie Abbott (Jeanette) Smith of Camilla, Georgia, Troy Smith of Cairo, Georgia; seven sisters, Glenda Marcus of Camilla, Georgia, Linda (Charlie) Miller of North Augusta, Georgia, Pearlie (Earl) Bettis of North Augusta, South Carolina, Jessie Green and Jeanette Green of Baconton, Georgia, Ilene Spence of Jacksonville, Florida, Dollie Wilder of Cairo, Georgia; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a special grandson, Demetrius Hunter of Camilla, Georgia.
