Passed peacefully away at the Pearly Rideau Veterans Home, Ottawa on October 15, 2015 Augustus Smallwood at the age of 94 years. Augustus was the last surviving member of the Smallwood era, and he was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie (1997), and all of his brothers and sisters and daughter-in-law Cindy Smallwood. Leaving to mourn his wife Jane; his sons: Reg (Mary) Stittsville, ONT, Brian (Debbie) of Dawson Creek, B.C, Sandy (Doris) of Stony Plain, AB; daughter Susan (Greg Mendiola) of Surrey, BC; grandchildren: Jonathan (Natasha), Mark (Christina), Matthew, Amy (Larry), Alyssa, Abby; great grandchildren: Isabella, Penelope, Jamison, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral Service was held at the Evangel Pentecostal Church, Gander on Tuesday October 20, 2015. Interment Pentecostal cemetery, Glovertown. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in Augustus's memory to a charity of one's choice.
