Mrs. Kathryn Boatright Thornton, 79 of Patterson, passed away Saturday evening, June 18, 2022, at her residence.

Born in Coffee, GA on August 6,1942 to the late Jacob Jordan & Doris Howell Boatright, she had lived in Bacon & Pierce Counties most of her life. Her life revolved around all of her family, but especially her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Kathryn was a graduate of Patterson High School - Class of 1960. She was a people person, loved to laugh and cut up, and never met a stranger. Mrs. Kathryn took great pride in being a homemaker. She loved to cook and to take care of her family and she wasn't afraid to roll up her sleeves and help out on the farm. In recent years she found passion for karaoke and dancing at the Backwoods Barn with her friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bosey Thornton; her three sons, Jason William Thornton, Mark Anthony Thornton, and Shell Thornton; a sister, Pete Cicero; and all three brothers, Parnell Boatright, Jerldon Boatright, and Jimmy Boatright.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy & Al Boatright of Scuffletown; three grandchildren, Whitney (Tim) Lavender, Rhett Boatright, and Kole Thornton; three great grandchildren, Kalleigh Jade Lavender, Kinsleigh Jo Lavender, and Kollynns Jaycee "Puddin" Lavender; a sister, Oveta Martin of Fernandina Beach, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday morning, June 22, 2022, at 11:00 o'clock from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening, June 21, 2022, 6pm-8pm.

Interment will be in the Offerman Cemetery.
