Despina M. Grimes, 85, of Elizabethtown, formerly of West Lawn, passed away, August 29, 2018 in the Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. She was the wife of Robert L. Grimes, with whom she shared 28 years of marriage. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Thomas & Helen (Karalia) Paras. She worked as a bench hand for 32 years at Western Electric, later AT&T, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church and a 1950 graduate of Reading High School. She was also a member of the AT&T Retirees "Golden Girls", Telephone Pioneers of America and enjoyed her card club for many years. Despina volunteered at the Reading Hospital for 20 years.
In addition to her husband Bob, she is survived by her son – Daniel E. Lewalski, Blackwood, NJ. She was predeceased by her sister Amelia P. Morris, who passed away July 24, 2014.
Funeral services from Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 E. Wyomissing Blvd., Reading on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Father Thomas L.
